American Horror Story fans have a theory that all of the show’s seasons are somehow connected and last year the show’s creator Ryan Murphy (finally) confirmed that all of the AHS seasons are in fact connected.
Here’s what we know AHS: Hotel‘s connection to Murder House: Marcy (Christine Estabrook), the annoying realtor who sold the Harmons family their haunted home in season 1, will appear in Hotel! Naturally, she’s the real estate agent for the similarly horrific Hotel Cortez (Why is she insistent on selling creepy property?). In the image on the left from AHS: Hotel, she shows the property to fashion designer Will Drake (Cheyenne Jackson) and his son.
That’s not all! Ryan revealed another huge Hotel secret..
“We do go to the Murder House for one episode,” he told EW.
So does that mean that we’re going to see the Harmons — Connie Britton, Dylan McDermott and Taissa Farmiga — again?!
It’s not likely, but we do know more about the Hotel storyline!
The season will jump between the present day, during which The Countess (Lady Gaga) buys the Hotel Cortez, and the 1930s, when Evan Peters‘ Mr. James March built it. Mr. March is a rich and charming psychopath who builds the hotel in order to hide his murderous activities within secret rooms and shafts.
Sounds familiar? The HuffPost speculates Evan’s character is inspired by not one, but two real-life figures. First Howard Hughes, the billionaire, business tycoon and Dr. Henry Howard Holmes, known infamously as H.H. Holmes, who confessed to 27 murders, but is said to have killed up to 200 people in his lifetime.
Gaga’s Countess, who is essentially a vampire, is involved in a love triangle with Matt Bomer’s Donovan, also a “vampire”, and the newly turned male model Tristan, played by Finn Wittrock.
American Horror Story: Hotel premieres October 7th on FX!
