After 8 days of negotiations, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are locked in to produce a film about the FIFA scandal. The film will be based on the yet-to-be-published book by Buzzfeed investigative reporter Ken Bensinger.

Bensinger’s article released just over a year ago, Mr. Ten Percent: The Man Who Built –And Bilked– American Soccer, captured the corruption of FIFA with Mr. Chuck Blazer (Soccer Dad gone money laundering racketeer) at the forefront.

The book, Houses of Deceit, isn’t set to be published until 2017. It’s feeling a little like the cart is in front of the horse. We know Bensinger is an amazing writer, we know the story is captivating, but that still doesn’t guarantee that the book will be adaptable to film does it? I’m dying to see the proposal. Mostly so I can figure out how to nail down a book and movie deal all at once…
