Trainwreck is written by comedian Amy Schumer and directed by Judd Apatow. The film is Schumer’s first big-screen starring role and Apatow’s most recent film since This is 40.
“Having thought that monogamy was never possible, a commitment-phobic career woman may have to face her fears when she meets a good guy”(Universal).
At a young age, Amy (Amy Schumer) was taught that “monogamy isn’t realistic” by her recently divorced father. Many years later, adult Amy, a writer for a men’s magazine, loves not being attached. Her love life consists of going on dates with many men like John Cena. In the trailer, it is a little unclear if he plays himself, but he definitely doesn’t play Mark Wahlberg. Her life is great or so she thinks. Things change when she meets Aaron (Bill Hader), a sports doctor, whose best friend is LeBron James (as LeBron James). She is tasked with writing an article about him and serious (relationship) sparks fly; no matter how much Amy tries to fight it.
Amy Schumer is already a brilliant comedian who is also set to host this year’s MTV Movie Awards. This trailer, which is down right hilarious, gets us super excited for the film! Not to mention, Apatow’s films have always been filled with amazing (and sometimes random) cameos.
The film also stars Brie Larson, Vanessa Bayer, and an almost unrecognizable Tilda Swinton, as Amy’s boss, and it set to be released this summer.
