Jenny’s Wedding tells the story of Jenny (Katherine Heigl), an openly gay young woman, except with her parents who still believe that the woman (Alexis Bledel) who lives with their daughter is her roommate. Everything will, of course, get complicated when the two women decide to marry.
Normally, a movie about two women getting married would make me ecstatic for the gay community (especially after last week), but then I saw Katherine was cast as the lead and I was throughly disappointed. Maybe I don’t buy Katherine as a gay woman or it could be that she and Alexis have absolutely ZERO chemistry. Seriously these two have less chemistry than Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson in Twilight. But I say skip the movie, unless you’re a huge Katherine Heigl fan.
The movie hits theaters on July 31 and arrives on V.O.D. August 1.
